Dear colleagues and friends,

Thank you so much for the outpouring of support in response to my 
last message.  The prayers and thoughts of people around the world 
have helped sustain Keiko and me in these difficult times.

Many of you asked me how you might donate in Mikey's name.  We have 
selected an organization that is devoted to children's safety in and 
around cars.  They will be accepting donations in Mikey's name.  To 
learn more about that, please visit Mikey's website at 
http://members.cox.net/michaelkai  as there is a link and explanation 
there.  (Note that I have also updated the photos on his Website, so 
you can see the real Mikey of the last few months and treasure his 
memory).

Secondly, I very much need letters of support from people who are 
willing to testify to my character and contributions as a father, 
human being, and/or educator and professional.  These character 
letters will be taken into consideration by the legal authorities in 
California in deciding how to handle my circumstance; i.e, am I a 
good, caring person who made a mistake, or am I a bad person?

The letters should be addressed to "To whom it may concern".  You can 
identify who you are in the letter and how you know me and speak 
about anything you would like to say about my character, humanity, 
and contribution as a father, human being, and or educator.   Please 
write on letterhead if possible (though that's not certainly not 
required).  The letter can be faxed to my attorney, Jennifer Keller, 
at 1 (949) 476-0900.  There is no need to send me a copy as I will 
see them later.  I was asked by my attorney to get these to her 
immediately so that she can present them to the authorities as they 
decide how to handle my case.
