Dear David,

 

No, not really.  The book is more about raising medusae and trouble
shooting many of the common issues people encounter when doing so.  It
also covers caring for cultures, scyphistomae and hydroid colonies and
trouble shooting common issue people find there as well.  The methods
discussed in the culturing of polyps section would probably translate
well to anemone care though.

 

Interestingly, we in the aquarium industry are most often trying to get
rid of Aiptasia sp.  Sometimes you can't kill them with a hammer!  It
seems to me that Aiptasia at MBA are unhappy when the salinity changes a
lot.  We inadvertently feed them Artemia nauplii and raw, un-filtered
sea water that runs through much of the building at night.
