Dear cnidariologists,

Does anybody know who Nomura was, honoured in the eponym of the very
large species of Rhizostomae Nemopilema nomurai, described by prof.
Kamakishi Kishinouye in 1922? Possibly the honoured person may be
either the malacologist Shichihei [Sitihei] Nomura, 1892-1945, or the
oligochaete worker Ekitaro Nomura, 1887?-19??, at Tohoku Imperial
Univ., but perhaps there may be a third person by that rather common
Japanese name, who is the real honouree?

Best wishes and thank you in advance

Hans G. H.
