SEO UCI: SEO $$ SUMMER INTERNSHIP STUDENT LEADERS' INFOSESSION (SEPT. 27)
Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) is a non-profit organization
that seeks to place high achieving Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, and
Native-American students in Wall Street internships. For the past thirty
years, SEO has recruited college sophomores, juniors and seniors from the
top schools across the country and placed them with the top Wall Street
firms (e.g. Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, etc).
Although investment banking is its biggest program, SEO also offers
internships in Accounting, Asset Management, Philanthropy, Management
Consulting, Global management, IT and Corporate Law. Our internships are
open to all majors.
SEO Program Manager, Carla Gomez, will be on UCI campus next week to talk
about our 2005-06 summer Career Program. She is hosting a Student
Leaders' Information Session in Student Services Building I (SSI) Room
203 at 6:30 pm. Please attend and encourage your fellow student leaders
to join us.
If you think SEO would be of particular interest to your student
organization and would like to schedule a separate time to meet with you,
please contact Program Assistant Nancy Sun at
<mailto:nsun at seo-usa.org>nsun at seo-usa.org or 646-435-9552 so that SEO can
accommodate you.
What is the benefit of getting an internship through SEO?
Because SEO works with all the major bulge-bracket firms, you get exposure
to the entire Street through firm-sponsored seminars/recruiting events
and SEO networking. At the end of your summer, you will have the
opportunity to interview with other firms. Many SEO interns enter their
senior year with multiple offers. Moreover, the SEO experience doesn't
end with the summer. SEO is a family and lifelong network for
professional development.
Participation in SEO is free. There is no application fee, placement fee,
etc. Rather, you will be compensated handsomely by your firm. Most Wall
Street firms pay at least $1,000 per week and are usually 10-12 weeks
long.
