The California Interdisciplinary Consortium for Italian Studies (CICIS) was founded to foster interdisciplinary and transnational research related to Italian studies in California and to convene conferences in which this research can be promoted, undertaken, presented and discussed. CICIS-P is a restricted list, serving members of the California Interdisciplinary Consortium for Italian Studies. The annual meeting for the 2008 of the California Interdisciplinary Consortium for Italian Studies takes place 29 February to 1 March 2008 at UC Santa Cruz. The theme is "Violence in Italian History and Culture." Abstract propossals are due 20 December 2007. Contact: Deanna Shemek at <shemek_at_ucsc.edu>. Subscribing to CICIS-P
